Welcome to Girafeed! Our mobile application connects animal lovers with charitable organizations to support animal welfare. By using Girafeed’s services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, our Privacy Policy, and all applicable laws and regulations.
2. Services Offered
Girafeed provides a platform for users to:
● Make one-time (“feeding”) or monthly donations ("virtual adoption") to animals.
● Receive updates from charity organizations about the animals they support.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the app, users must create an account providing accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of these terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.
4. Donations
● Types of Donations: Users can choose between a one-time donation (“feeding”) or a monthly subscription ("virtual adoption") to support an animal.
● Use of Donations: We pass 90% of all donations to designated charities, retaining a 10% fee for administrative costs (like payment provider fees)and development.
● No Tax Benefit: Donations made through our app do not qualify for tax deductions as Girafeed Limited is a commercial entity.
5. Updates on Supported Animals
● Gratification for Donations: Users will receive updates as a token of appreciation for their contributions, detailed as follows:
○ One-time Donations: Users will receive the most recent update previously sent by the charity and the next update following their donation.
○ Virtual Adoption: Users will receive the most recent update previously sent and additional updates weekly for a 30-day period following each payment.
● Update Period: Defined as a 30-day period following each payment, during which users will receive weekly updates. Each new payment initiates a new update period.
6. Refunds and Cancellations
● Users are entitled to a refund if updates are not provided as promised unless delays are caused by unforeseeable circumstances.
● Monthly subscriptions will be automatically canceled if the animal passes away, is adopted, or if Girafeed ceases cooperation with the concerned charity.
7. Rights and Responsibilities
● Girafeed’s Role: We only facilitate the connection between users and charities and do not own or directly care for any animals.
● User Responsibilities: Users agree to not misuse the service or engage in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the functioning of the app.
8. Liability and Indemnity
● Girafeed is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform.
● Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Girafeed from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the app.
9. Termination
Girafeed may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach the Terms.
10. Changes to Terms
Girafeed reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the app following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
